America’s Got Talent 2011/2013
I appeared on the reality TV program America’s Got Talent twice, in 2011 (Season 6) as a solo act and in 2013, with my band Candy Store Henchmen. In 2011, I auditioned in Minneapolis, Minnesota at The Orpheum Theater. I throat sang Mykel Board Weasel Squeezer and did an animated imitation of a female deer. The act was dismissed by celebrity judges news commentator Piers Morgan and television personality Sharon Osbourne, while liked by comedian Howie Mandel. The segment in which I appeared was broadcast on June 8, 2011 and can be seen in the documentary Sid Yiddish. In 2013, (Season 8) I appeared on the program with my band Candy Store Henchmen. We didn’t last 45 seconds, as we were dismissed by all four of the celebrity judges that included radio personality Howard Stern, Mel B (Scary Spice of the Spice Girls), model Heidi Klum and comedian Howie Mandel. We performed the composition, 90-Minute Delay On The Eisenhower. (Composition on the Candy Store Henchmen album Until Further Notice Everyday Feels Like Sunday) Our audition segment never made national broadcast. Our audition was at Rosemont Theater in Rosemont, Illinois.
