Throat Singing (2004-Present)

Posted by on Oct 29, 2021 in Music, Throat Singing

The very idea of learning how to throat sing, came to me while I was taking voice and piano lessons in early spring 2004 at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago and i needed a true challenge. Throat singing was that true challenge that I needed. Over the next several months I learned not only how to navigate throat singing style but learned how to apply the results. Throat singing has taken me on many collaborative adventures including performances at the Bowery Poetry Club (New York), TV shows like America’s Got Talent and Chic-A-Go-Go; radio shows like The Sunday Papers With Rick Kogan (WGN); album projects with Danish punk rock band Clean Boys, Chicago jazz fusion group Marbin and others.
